Using the site
The editor is provided free of charge for anyone to use, including for commercial purposes: thumbnails for a monetised channel, cover art for a sponsored podcast, artwork for a client. No licence fee is owed and no attribution is required.
You may not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, to overload it, to circumvent or strip out the advertising that funds it, or to redistribute the editor as your own product or as part of another service.
What you create, and what you bring
The designs you make are yours. Nothing you create here is claimed, licensed, stored or reused, and since the files never reach a server, there is no copy of them to claim in the first place.
You are responsible for what you put into the editor. Uploading a photograph, a logo, a game screenshot or a frame of a film means asserting that you have the right to use it that way. Copyright, trademark and image rights are yours to respect, and a tool that runs on your own machine cannot check them for you.
Fonts, emoji and template designs
The typefaces offered in the editor are open-licence fonts, chosen because their licences allow commercial use. The emoji are rendered by your own operating system, so the exact artwork you see depends on your device and belongs to whoever makes that system's emoji set.
The template layouts are provided as starting points and may be used and modified freely in your own work. What is not permitted is repackaging the template set itself as a competing product.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisements are selected by that network, not chosen individually here, and their appearance on this site is not an endorsement of the advertiser, their product or the accuracy of their claims. Any transaction with an advertiser is between you and them.
The guides
The guides describe platform specifications and design practice as accurately as possible at the time of writing, with figures taken from the platforms' own published documentation. Platforms change their requirements without notice, and advice about what performs well is an informed opinion rather than a guarantee of results.
Nothing in the guides is professional advice, and no outcome — views, clicks, subscribers, revenue — is promised or implied by using this tool or following any guide on this site.
Availability and warranty
The site is offered as it is, without any warranty that it will be available, uninterrupted or free of faults, and without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change or be withdrawn.
Because the editor runs in your browser, its behaviour depends on your device, your browser and the memory available to it. Very large images can fail to process on a modest device. Save your work by downloading it; a draft kept in browser storage is a convenience, not a backup, and clearing your browser data will remove it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for loss of work, loss of data, lost revenue or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using this site or being unable to use it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one published on this page, and using the site after a change means the updated version applies. Questions about any of this go to the address on the contact page.
